Growth

In life we are constantly being challenged by God. There is always a lesson to be learned in every GOOD or BAD situation. I think God puts us through test to prepare us for our next chapter in life. I know a few people, myself included, that have been stuck on the same chapter for what feels like an eternity. I have come to conclude that maybe, just maybe, it is because we have not finished taking all the chapter test OR we keep failing the test we are given over and over again. If the latter is true, we clearly have not learned our lesson.

In school, if you perform poorly on exams you have not proven to the teacher you understand the lessons being taught. The same applies to the test God gives us. If we keep failing, he will continue to test us, until the lesson is learned.

What are your talents?

Just wanted to share this with you, from the book "Purpose Driven Life".
Something for you to think about as you go throughout your day....................Enjoy!!

If God hasn't given you the ability to carry a tune, he isn't going to expect you to be an opera singer. God will never ask you to dedicate your life to a task you have no talent for. On the other hand, the abilities you do have are a strong indication of what God wants you to do with your life. They are clues to knowing God's will for you. If you are good at designing or recruiting or drawing or organizing, it is a safe assumption that God's plan for your life includes that skill somehow. God doesn't waste abilities; he matches our calling and our capabilities.

Hmmm I Wonder.....

Well, it was back to work for me today. Oh my goodness, it was tough this morning to get out the bed after two weeks of staying up late and laying in bed all day. Where did the time go? Argh!!

Anyway, today while on the train, I realized that many Japanese people rarely have a smile on their face or even look happy. Why is that, I wonder? Maybe because it's so early in the morning, but wait, they don't smile in the evening either. I wonder if it's because most of them don't have anything to be happy about? I wonder if it's because some of them don't have god in their life? I don't know!! It's really strange though.

I do know this much, I thank GOD for who I am and what I have. And YES my friends, that alone is enough to keep me smiling EVERYDAY!

No Case of the Monday's for Me!

I open my eyes and it's 7a.m. here in Japan. I roll over and take a deep breath and stretch and roll a few more times. I get up and put my feet on the ground and look at myself in the mirror. Wipe my eyes and raise my hands high and stretch again. Ahhh, what am I going to do today??

First things first, I open the curtains to get a look at my day. YAY, IT'S NOT RAINING ANYMORE!! The sun is radiating through the curtains waiting to shine into the bedroom. I open all the windows and feel the cool breeze brushing across my face. The birds are chirping and I hear a plane flying overhead (I wish I was flying somewhere).

Nevertheless, I think to myself, YIPPEE!! I have no work this week. I go downstairs make myself a nice hot cup of English tea and take out my new InStyle Magazine to read. Before I open my magazine, I close my eyes once more, smile, and take in a deep breath and thank God for life and sunny mornings.

Wow Five!!

As I sit here, one hour into our flight, stomach bubbling, knees cramped, listening to Bonney James, on my way to Korea, I can't help but to think how Korea will be the 5th country I have visited for the year. Wheeeew, I know right……..Shheeessshh!!

I can definitely say that God has blessed me not only individually, but other people's blessing have become my blessing. Does this make sense? The reason I say this, is because I haven’t had to pay for any of my trips, thus far!! I don't know what I would do without my Mom and Alex. Thank you both so much.

So, to that end, remember to thank God for all that he does and has done for you, but moreover thank him for the people he has placed in your life.

Blessed are those who give without remembering. And blessed are those who take without forgetting.”
