Date Night

The other day, Alex took me out on a HOT date, to a pizza joint called "Bambinos". I haven't had pizza in so long. Yes, you can get pizza here in Japan. However, depending on where you go, you can end up with some pretty unusual things on top of your pizza. How does squid or octopus sound? Mmmm yummy right? So, you think that's weird?? It gets worst!! How about a runny egg, smack dab in the middle of your pizza!!!

Now, with all of that being said, I can say Bambino’s pizza was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE THAT. Trust Me! Otherwise, I wouldn't have eaten there. It was very westernized and full of things that looked familiar to me on the menu. Oh yeah, did I mention how intimate and romantic the setting was? The place was dimly lit with candles and only a few seating areas. It was a perfect spot for a first date, however this wasn’t quite our first date.

Anyway, I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and Alex had seafood pasta. Now, tell me why....when my pizza arrived it looked like a plate swimming in cheese. KNIFE AND FORK PLEASE!! I never thought in a million years, I could have toooooo much cheese on a pizza. I couldn’t even see the freaking pepperoni for goodness sakes. Geeez!!! Get this though…. My small pizza cost $15.00 (USD) and was only the size of a Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut!! So, how much do you think it cost for a large pizza and might I add the large here is about a medium size there in the states??...................Yep, $30.00!! It definitely makes you appreciate the prices Stateside.

As expected though, the pizza was pretty good and quite filling too. The cheese definitely played a big role in that. Overall, the night was pleasant. It ended with both of us crashed out on the couch and tummy's full to capacity. Did someone say I-TIS...........

Sleepless in Japan: Starring Me!!

Sometimes, I question the things that I do.........

Question to self: "Why, in the hell did you drink that COFFEE, knowing good and darn well you wouldn't be able to sleep tonight?? It's 5:15 in the morning!! What were you thinking??"

Help, I can't sleep!!

The Angel Wears Prada!!

I know!! I know!! I should probably be sleeping right now (its going up to 3a.m.), but my body has unfortunately gotten use to going to bed pretty late!! Ugh!! I hate that! I have to do better. Anyway, I have been back since Sunday from Korea. I had a great trip and would definitely go back just to shop. Okay, I know what your thinking... And yes, I said previously they (the Koreans) were bugging the living day lights out of me..... but hey..... if I had to do it all over again, I would, this time with more money.

There were so many things I wanted to buy, but with so little cash and time. Everything was being sold at extremely reasonable prices. I was in heaven!! Even with the low prices, many of the tourists were still trying to talk the Korean’s down and Guess What? It worked!!! I on the other hand, wasn’t as successful. BASTARDS!!! Nevertheless, I was able to pick up a few good buys and I can say, I am pleased with all of my purchases.
Here you go.....take a look at two of my favorite items purchased in Korea… Still smiling because I love them both!!
I know it's nothing flashy, but I love it because it's soooo simple, it's me, and it's PRADA!! What more could you possibly ask for!!

8:57p.m. Touch Down

I've made it.

I'm in Korea.

Well, I can say I have already begun to notice the extreme difference between the Japanese and Koreans. Can we say Aggressive Hustlers!! The Korean's don't play about trying to get your money. Immediately after exiting the airport, I instantly felt the need to clench my purse closer to me. Pretty bad huh? I know!! I'm not sure what it was really, maybe the aggressiveness of the locals had me tripping. They were all up in my face, wham! “Come!! Come!! I give you ride to hotel in my taxi, pretty lady!” UGH!! Every turn I made a Korean was right there, literally. Grrrrrr!! I guess times are hard for everybody, but Dang Give Me Some Freaking Space!!

Wow Five!!

As I sit here, one hour into our flight, stomach bubbling, knees cramped, listening to Bonney James, on my way to Korea, I can't help but to think how Korea will be the 5th country I have visited for the year. Wheeeew, I know right……..Shheeessshh!!

I can definitely say that God has blessed me not only individually, but other people's blessing have become my blessing. Does this make sense? The reason I say this, is because I haven’t had to pay for any of my trips, thus far!! I don't know what I would do without my Mom and Alex. Thank you both so much.

So, to that end, remember to thank God for all that he does and has done for you, but moreover thank him for the people he has placed in your life.

Blessed are those who give without remembering. And blessed are those who take without forgetting.”

Time Waits For No One!

Yesterday, I realized I couldn't have named my blog anything else but the “Days of MY Life”. Geeeez!! Talk about a long day full of dead ends..... It all began yesterday morning when my boyfriend "Alex" and I were SUPPOSE to be leaving for Korea, for a few days. We got everything ready from the night before and the only thing left for us to do, was get to the airport on TIME!! Well, let’s just say NOTHING WENT ACCORDING TO PLAN!
Let's see where shall I start.................

First, we missed the 1:00p.m bus that would have taken us to Narita Airport, which is 2 hours a way. So, what did we end up doing?? Taking the over crowded train all the way too the Airport. NEVER AGAIN!!
Talk about clostro phobia!!!
Three hours later, after switching trains countless times, we arrived at the airport with our oversized suitcases! Ugh!! We make it to the check-in counter, only to discover we were too late!! The doors of the plane were closed!! "Alex" was pissed!! Oddly I wasn't. My only thought was "this day can't get any worst".

In the end, we had to travel all the waaaay back home, but this time by bus.....Only to do it all over again Today!!

Allow Me to Introduce MySelf or Maybe Not....

Yesterday after talking to my best friend, I got to thinking about a lot of things, pertaining to my current situation and this of course lead to other thoughts and eventually after much thought, I decided to create a blog. I figured this would be a good way for me to share my time here in Japan. Anyway, I don’t really feel like doing a formal introduction, with the whole my name is blah blah blah, but I’m sure through post to come, you will get to learn more about me. For now, here's a little something.....

I just moved to Japan about 3 months ago because:

(1). I have a boyfriend here, who I'll call Alex (i think)..
(2). I was ready for a change.
(3). I had never lived away from my family.
(4). I will be teaching ESL
(5). I came on vacation here in the summertime and fell in love with Japan.
(6). I've been out of school for almost a year now and I'm ready to conquer the world.
More about me........

  • I always have a thousand thoughts a day and it makes it hard for me to get things done.
  • I have a very active mind and I get lost in thought easliy.
  • I always have tons I want to do and see and never feel like I have enough time.
Anyway, you can thank my best friend for me starting this blog. She has been telling me for quite sometime that I should start a blog, so here I am today, starting my blog!! I am actually excited about it and will keep you all updated as the Days of My Life continue…
